Writing, Editing & Proofreading
Easy reading is damn hard writing.
- Nathaniel Hawthorne
Writing
I have wide experience with several types of writing, including Web site copy, brochures, newsletters, press releases, radio scripts, and e-mail marketing pieces.
Web Writing: One of the mantras of Web writing has been that "less is more." Some people seem to feel that means everything needs to be put into a bulleted list. But I don't think it's true anymore. With faster Internet connections and more people printing the pages they find to read later, writing for the Web has become freer than ever before! But, as with other media, Web writing has got to be tight and well organized, and that's one of my strengths. Click here to see my portfolio of Web writing.
Print Advertising: Everyone remembers the great magazine ads they've seen. Why? It's partly good design, and partly good writing. Good design does its job by grabbing attention, but if the advertising copy falls short, you've probably lost the sale. Let me help make yours memorable, too.
Press Releases: This is just one of the areas I've worked in, and I've written press releases for Fortune 500 companies as well as small, local retailers. Click here to see my press release portfolio.
Internet Marketing: I have had experience from many angles in this area: from campaign writing and design to fulfillment and follow-up. Click here for some samples of the work I've done.
