A recent press release email blast had recipients expecting miracles -- or maybe fearing the start of a dead-clown zombie apocalypse.
The subject line: "Jerry Lewis Returns to New York & Celebrates Pride.”
However, Jerry Lewis -- the comic legend and star of The Day the Clown Cried and other lesser projects over eight or so decades -- died in 2017.
Lewis (pictured right before launching into a zombie rage-fueled attack on New York streets) could not be reached for comment.
I think it's possible, however (after reading the actual press release), that the sender meant to refer to singer Jenny Lewis.
Honest mistake.
